Merhdad Golzad, M.D.
Dr. Golzad Is a board certified in Brain Injury Medicine, Neurology, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Golzad has broad expertise in Neurophysiology, Neuropharmacology, Quantitative EEG, Neurofeedback, and, TBI-related Balance Disorders. Dr. Golzad was head of Neurology at the St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn and Queens from 1999 to 2009. In collaboration with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Dr. Golzad's team achieved Stroke Center (PSC) Certifications by making exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes through the quality of care his team provided in order to meet the unique and specialized needs of stroke patients.
Dr. Golzad has published articles and a book chapter on neurotoxicology, neuropsychological testing, and the treatment of motor neuropathies by conduction block.
Dr. Golzad is actively involved in the administration of parenteral Ketamine (under pharmaco-EEG monitoring) combined with music therapy and psychotherapy in TBI survivors with neuropsychiatric complications.
Dr. Golzad believes in the aggressive multi-modality treatment of TBI survivors in order to leverage their neuroplasticity and achieve unexpected results.

Marco Pappagallo, MD
Dr. Marco Pappagallo, M.D. is an internationally recognized neurologist and pain medicine specialist with over three decades of experience in academic medicine, clinical leadership, and biotech innovation. He trained in neurology and pain medicine at Johns Hopkins University, where he later served as faculty, progressing from Clinical Instructor to Assistant Professor. He has held senior academic appointments at NYU School of Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he was Full Professor and Director of Pain Research.
Dr. Pappagallo has directed major chronic pain programs at leading institutions, including Johns Hopkins and Beth Israel Medical Center, and served as Chief Medical Officer for multiple biotech companies such as NovaPharm Therapeutics, CerSci Therapeutics, and Relmada Therapeutics, advancing novel CNS and pain therapeutics.
A prolific researcher, he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and several textbooks, including The Neurological Basis of Pain. He holds numerous U.S. and international patents for innovative pain therapies and has led NIH-funded clinical trials exploring new treatments for neuropathic pain, migraine, and spinal disorders.
Widely respected as a thought leader, Dr. Pappagallo has been recognized among the Best Doctors in America®, served on NIH advisory boards, and contributed to the development of emerging therapies such as esmethadone (REL-1017) for depression and neural plasticity modulation.

John Casas, MD
Dr. John Casas is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of dedicated experience in the field of mental health, with a specialized focus on military and veteran populations. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Casas served for a decade in active duty, where he concentrated on the treatment of combat-related conditions, including traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Following his military service, Dr. Casas spent another 10 years with the Veterans Health Administration, where he held multiple leadership roles, most notably serving as Chief Psychiatrist for a nationally recognized inpatient PTSD treatment program. His work has significantly contributed to the advancement of care models for veterans coping with complex psychological trauma.
Dr. Casas is also a passionate educator, having trained medical students, residents, and physician assistants in comprehensive psychiatric care. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including:
